As you may know, I currently lead the San Jose chapter of the Balanced Breakfast music industry community. In almost every one of our meet ups, the topic of getting gigs comes up. Musicians and bands compare notes on the challenges of contacting venues and getting gigs in the Bay Area. A few years ago, I started a list of local venues for my band, Space Giant. But the more people I talked to, the more I realized that every band could use something like this. I decided to publish my list publicly for all local musicians to use.
